For a tour of some of the finest art galleries, explore the Canyon Rd area. Nearby, Evoke Contemporary features American and international artists versed in figurative painting, landscape painting, and sculpture. The Nedra Mateucci Galleries specialize in 19th and 20th-century art, with an emphasis on paintings and sculptures. Another notable contemporary gallery in the area is the Gerald Peters Gallery. Having opened in the 1970s, the gallery has also now expanded to New York, and the sculpture program includes famed American Neoclassical works. 

Enjoy multi-day cultural events in the summer season in Santa Fe. In July, you can visit the internationally renowned Spanish Market, which celebrates local Hispanic art and culture and is held at the historic Santa Fe Plaza. July also brings the International Folk Art Market, welcoming hundreds of vendors from across the globe to bring handmade folk art to you while supporting cultural awareness and social change. In August, the Santa Fe Indian Market is the largest juried Native American art show in the world. This annual market sponsors over a thousand Native artists from tribes throughout North America. The Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta is held in September each year. Featuring 60 restaurants and 90 wineries, this one-of-a-kind fiesta celebrates the best of wines and food that New Mexico has to offer. When visiting, also be sure to explore Santa Fe’s historical sites.
